About Gudahagen
Gudahagen is a historic meeting place in Näsum, where history, craftsmanship and community come together.
Every year, the area comes to life during the Gudahagen Viking Market. Craftspeople, Vikings, musicians, storytellers and other history enthusiasts gather here from Sweden and other parts of Europe.
During the market weekend, the area is filled with crafts, food, music, storytelling, combat displays, activities for children and many other experiences inspired by the Viking Age and the early Middle Ages.
The market is organised by Fornföreningen Gudahagen, a non-profit association where everything is built on commitment, community and many hours of voluntary work. Throughout the year, we also try to arrange different activities and gatherings for our members.
To us, Gudahagen is more than just a market. It is a place where people meet, share knowledge, create memories and help keep history and traditional craftsmanship alive.
Registration for the market opens in late spring. Current information about registration, participation and the market is published on our website and social media.
Whether you come as a visitor, craftsperson, Viking or simply out of curiosity, you are warmly welcome to Gudahagen.
Membership
As a member of Fornföreningen Gudahagen, you become part of our community. You will receive invitations to members’ meetings, gatherings and excursions, and have the opportunity to share an interest in history with other engaged people. All our work is based on voluntary commitment and a love for Gudahagen.
